Mohali 01st September:- Shemrock Senior Secondary School Mohali organised Science & maths exhibition at its campus for classes 7-10. Students worked together to make it a success. It was open for the parents of students to applaud the efforts put up by their children. Students exhibited wonderful display of projects and models with real innovative ideas. Out of box applications in physics were depicted in the display of pressure of water, electric currents generated with the help of sand. A future house was displayed with the upcoming technologies as sliding roof, Rain alarm and making a clothes line shift automatically. A futuristic approach was depicted in spreading awareness about the intoxicants affecting our Mother Earth and how humans are responsible for the devastation. Students demonstrated the properties of triangles and their congruency .How the triangles and other figures play their part in building the structure. Analysis based on structure, order and relation were displayed along with notions of logical reasoning.
While speaking at the Principal S K Sharma said that Exhibition is a forum for children to pursue their natural curiosity and inventiveness to quench their thirst for creativity and make children feel that science as well as maths is all around us. We apply mathematics and information technology to visualize and solve problems pertaining to everyday life so it creates interest and encourage becoming sensitive and responsible citizens.
