Mohali 26th September:- Oakridge International School celebrated Grandparents day at its campus to celebrate the importance of relationships across generations. Tiny tots of Primary wing show cased in various activities. In fancy dress competition Tiny tots in colourful attires pleased the grandparents and showed off dance moves. Later, students also narrated animal stories with morals. Some students give handmade Greeting Cards and some gifted the family tree to show them love and affection.
Principal Pranjala Das said that since many parents prefer nuclear families children do not learn to value the presence of their grandparents. Celebrations of grandparents will encourage children to think about the value of the grandparents in their life and lead them saying thank you and spending time with their grandparents. She further added that the Best Part of the Day is the perfect gift to share celebrating the bond between grandparents and their grandchildren.
