MC remove encroachments from varandahs

Chandigarh 17^th September:-To remove the encroachements in the varandahs of markets, the Enforcement wing of Municipal Corporation today conducted a special drive in the city markets and challaned 180 violators.

The special drive was conducted following the orders of Dr. Sarita Malik, Additional Commissioner, MC. The enforcement team removed encroachments like stair cases, tyres, plastic items, counters, cylinders, readmade garments etc from various markets of the city. In some of the places the enforcement team faced minor protest but no untoward incident took place during the drive.
