Master Plan prepared to conduct cleaning works under Swach Bharat Abhiyan: Sidhu

Mohali 01st October:- A master plan has been prepared for conducting planed cleaning works in the district under Swach Bharat Abhiyan, the campaign for maintaining cleanliness being run under the leadership of Prime Minister Narinder Modi. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu while non- formally addressing the press at district administrative complex.

Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that for making this campaign a great success, nodal officers have been appointed who are monitoring the cleaning works being conducted under the campaign. He said that this campaign will be continued in future. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that general public at grass route level will be made aware about the importance of cleanliness & hygiene, specially the people residing in slum areas will be made aware for the same. Each & every part of the community will be encouraged to contribute towards this campaign. During this, he appealed the political leaders, Social activists & other leaders of the communities to contribute towards this campaign, so that the district could be made as a modal district in view of the cleaning.

Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that the campaign has been started in the towns and nearby villages of the district wherein the garbage dumps near residential houses area being removed. He said that during this campaign people will also be made aware about the importance of cleaning & hygiene. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that directions in this regards have also been given to the school representatives to motivate the students to maintain personal hygiene & cleanliness around them. Besides this, head of the departments have also been directed the same. He said if every individual will ensure cleanliness around him than a lot of disease can be prevented & a healthy nation could be formed. He further said that media could play a big role for joining hands of people for the success of this campaign.
