Mohali 16th September:- Workers Education Day "16th September alongwith Hindi Diwas" was celebrated at Jan Shikshan Sansthan, Mohali with great enthusiasm. Karnail Singh, Education Officer, in his welcome address thanked and congratulated all the dignitaries and participants for their participation in the program.
Kulbir Singh, Chairman RAC, CBWE Chandigarh inaugurated the program on "Impact of Workers Education and its importance for future" to mark the celebration of Workers Education Day. In the inaugural speech he was of the opinion that Workers Education was very important for overall improvement of workers and their organizations. He further said that due to the impact of Workers Education Programs the Productivity and Quality of the products have improved, relations between the workers and management become harmonious. He also said that each one of us can contribute in Social & Economic Development through eradication of Social Evils.Malkit Ram, Regional Director, CBWE, Chandigarh briefed the participants about the progress made by Chandigarh Regional Directorate and requested the organizations working for Rural and Unorganized Sector to contribute their maximum in the implementation of Workers Education Scheme effectively. He further explained the impact of CBWE training programs in esteemed organizations of organized sector and also in Rural Sector. He also explained how CBWE could help to eliminate social evils by conducting training programs. He also requested the participants to use the National language Hindi at large level for National Integration and enhancing the efficiency level of all by effective communication.Sodhi Mall, Addl. Director of Factories also congratulated CBWE for Celebrating Workers Education Day and also explained the positive impact of CBWE training programs.
Anand Mohan Sharma, Director, Jan Shikshan Sansathan, Mohali also spoke on the occasion and explained how Workers Education has proved very useful to the working class. Sant Ram, Assistant Director, Hindi Teaching Scheme, Chandigarh highlighted the objective of Celebrating Hindi Diwas. He motivated all the participants for encouraging reading, writing and speaking Hindi which is our National Language and is important for overall development of all of us. D.R. Prashar, Ex-ZD(CZ) and Sh. Jatinder Singh, Ex-Education Officer, CBWE also spoke on the occasion. Jacob Partap, Deputy Labour Commissiner, Punjab presided over the concluding function and congratulated the participants and the department on celebration of Workers Education Day. He also appreciated the activities of the Board for the upliftment of workers of Organized, Unorganized and Rural Sectors and advised the trade unions and the managements to reap the benefits of Workers Education Scheme.
