PGI Mourns Death of Dr.R.K.Sharma

Chandigarh 12^th June:- A condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Yogesh Chawla, Director PGI today to pay homage to the departed soul of Dr. R K Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Hospital Administration who passed away at PGI, Chandigarh on 30th May, 2014.  Rich tributes were paid by Prof. Yogesh Chawla, Prof. Amod Gupta, Dean PGI and Prof. A K Gupta, Head, Department of Hospital Administration, PGI.  Many heads of departments, faculty members, the administrative staff and the resident doctors joined to mourn his death.

 Dr R K Sharma worked in PGI for 17 years from the year 1997 to 2014.  He had lent administrative support in running the services in New OPD Block and Advanced Cardiac Centre.  This included shifting of all the Cardiac services from Nehru Hospital to the New Centre including non-invasive labs, Cath Lab, wards and CTVS Operation Theatre.  Different diagnostic and lab services were started in the Advanced Cardiac Centre with his contribution.
