Chandigarh 14th May:-- B.Sc. Nursing Post basic (2nd year) students of PGI organized Educational activities on panel discussion, symposium and exhibition, under the guidance of Mrs. Kavita, Mrs. Renu, and Mrs. Prabhjot Kaur at NINE, PGI, Chandigarh for three days from 12th to 14th May 2014,
Dr. Mrs. Sandhya Ghai, Principal, NINE, PGIMER, Chandigarh inaugurated the programme by cutting the ribbon and lamp lighting ceremony. On 12th May panel discussion was organized on "AYUSH- Natural resources for all ailments". The importance of AYUSH and its benefits for treating various disease conditions was emphasized. On 13th May, symposium was conducted on disaster management. Theme for symposium was "Plan now, Don't wait, disaster does not discriminate". Students focused on disaster, its types, phases & its management, and role of Nurse in disaster. On 14th May, students exhibited posters, puppets, specimens and models of educational value. Different types of models like working model on water conservation & other models like cross sectional model of kidney, etc were displayed. Puppet show was done on alcoholism. Dr. Mrs. Sandhya Ghai appreciated the work of students and motivated them to continue the spirit of hard work in every field.
