Harshdeep of Shemrock School Bags First Rank in International Olympiad of English Language

Mohali 06th May:-- Harshdeep Singh Sohi Student of Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Mohali made school proud by winning the First Rank at the international level .He scored 83.222 marks and won a prize of 51000 Rs/-.Which would be awarded him at Delhi in the month of August/September at the moment of third level competition. Apart from the prize money, he has become eligible to participate in the third level competition to be held in Delhi in August/September. 2 winners of the 3rd level participants will be sent for educational excursion abroad. He has participated in International Olympiad Of English Language (iOEL 2014, Second level) at the international level and one of its class 12 student,  Besides ,Harshdeep, Aalampreet Singh,Aseem Malhotra, Nivandeep Singh Dhillon, and Aashish Goyal also bagged positions amongst the first ten students at the state level in this competition .

While speaking at the moment Principal of the school S.K.Sharma said that the International Olympiad of English Language (iOEL) is a test of competence and knowledge in English Language. It is held annually at the national and international levels and this competition is based on CBSE, ICSE and the State Boards syllabus. He further added that such competition has performance-enhancing effects and push kids to do better.
