‘Comedian Sudesh Lahri and Singer Gippy Grewal To Perform In Videocon Connect Super Jodi’ Grand Finale

Chandigarh 02nd May:-- After witnessing the wave of success of 'Connect Super Jodi' contest and the stupendous gala evening with Comedy super Jodi- Krishna and Sudesh Lahri last year, Connect Broadband and Videocon Telecom along with Videocon D2H this year brings to the city audience, the madness and the beguiling talent contest of real life couples on May 2 at Tagore Theatre. The highlight of the day was an exclusive candid chat with standup Comedian Sudesh Lahri where he shared his last year's experiences of the 'Super Jodi' contest and his journey in the world of laughter. 

Eminent standup comedian Sudesh Lahri said, that it is always fun to be in Chandigarh for the Super Jodi contest. This is his consecutive second year of performing at the Grand Finale and he is very excited to have fun at the stage and with the participating contestants. At this level this is a unique contest being organized by Connect and Videocon. He congratulate Arvind Bali and the entire team for creating such entertaining and interesting platform for people of Punjab.

 Arvind Bali, Director & CEO, Videocon Telecom Services and Connect Broadband said that the contest has got an overwhelming response this year as well, we have got jodis across Punjab from all age groups who just want to reinvent their chemistry between them and have some fun and few laughs. The contest evaluated couples based on parameters like compatibility through umpteen fun filled quizzes and talent exhibitions which settle on level of intimacy amongst the couple participants.  Multiplying the magnitude of the contest this year, Videocon Telecom, Videocon D2H and Connect Broadband joined hands to launch the Mega contest. Chandigarh and Punjab-wide Mega Contest was launched on February 14th this year. Spanned over two months, the second season of 'Super Jodi' witnessed over 30 audition rounds in Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar ,Bathinda and Patiala at various malls, housing societies and clubs. The 2 month long program was enjoyed by over 50,000 people as audience from all age groups and close to 2000 couples got registered for the Mega contest. After rigorous rounds of auditions 60 couples competed at the City Finales across Punjab out of which 18 couples have been shortlisted for the Grand Finale.
