Workshop on 'Physics and Electronics' Held at MCM College

Chandigarh 20^th February:---- The department of Physics of MCM College for Women, Chandigarh culminated a two days workshop today. Titled Physics and Electronics aimed at apprising the students of the relations between physics and electronics and the applications of Physics in research and development, the workshop was spread over four technical sessions. Vivek Vats, Director, Techwell Instruments, Gaurav, Sr. Analyst and Nitisha Sharma, Senior design engineer provided practical knowledge to the students about electricity generation using various physics principles and electronics components and electricity transmission. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation of the students who displayed their projects on the final day of the workshop.

Applauding the efforts of the Department, Principal of the college Dr. Puneet Bedi said that the integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applicability is imperative in making students employable. This workshop is a step towards this goal.
