Sahayta Celebrates Republic Day in PGI Paediatric Centre

Chandigarh 24^th January:-- Sahayta  Cancer Sahyog along with the members of inner wheel club of chandigarh and Tiny Feet, a mom and child centre in Chandigarh organised an art & craft workshop for the children afflicted with cancer on the 24th of Jan, 2014 . The workshop was held to mark the celebrations for International Childhood Cancer Day . The society along with inner wheel club and Tiny Feet fecilitated the event which was held in PGI . Nearly 80 children participated in the workshop and could be seen engrossed in different creative endeavors. ICCD is celebrated to motivate and felicitate children and their parents who have gone through the dreaded disease. It is a message for all that fight against cancer can be won and we are all together to emerge as survivors.Dr Suneet Singhi along with Dr Amita Trehan and Dr Deepak were present to encorage the kids.The refreshments and prizes were sponsored by Inner Wheel Club and the workshop was sponsored by Tiny Feet .The theme for the event was Republic Day with saffron balloons and flags and volunteers sporting the  tiranga colours.
