By 1 2 1 News Reporter

Chandigarh 15th November:---  Hallmark Public School, Panchkula celebrated Children's day in a very meaningful way – by spreading awareness about the social evil of Child Labour. A skit depicting the ill effects of child labour was staged by the students. The youngsters displayed exceptional acting prowess to drive the message against child Labour across to the audience. On this occasion group songs and speeches by senior students and a painting contest for junior pupils, on the theme of 'Child labour- a blot on Society' also organised.

According to Ms. Kavita Wadhwa, Principal, that Hallmark try to celebrate important occasions in ways that raise issues of concern. Children are all about innocence and playfulness. It's a sin to hold them back in shackles by pushing them into Child Labour. The society should shun such practices and give our children a good education full of joy and freedom.

Jivtesh Garg, Director, of the school said that the students did give a very good performance in the play. The other activities too provided the youngsters a platform to use their imagination and creativity to raise a voice against Child Labour and how it was ruining the Nation's future. Our belief is that if students employ learnings in a practical environment, they grow more and become confident.
