Punjab Red Cross Distributes Diwali to PGI Patients

Chandigarh 31^st October: --- Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab State Branch today distributed walkers, blankets and medicines to the poor patients and fruits to the indoor patients of P.G.I as part of Diwali celebrations.  Lady social workers of Punjab Red Cross distributed 500 packets of fruits to the admitted patients of Gastroenterology, Advanced Urology Centre, Male Surgical Ward, Gynae Ward, ICU & E.N.T. wards.

 Dr. A K Gupta, Medical Superintendent, PGI lauded the yeoman services being provided by the social workers by way of distributing medicines and other relief amenities to the poor & needy patients.  A.L. Astha, Secretary, Punjab State Red Cross encouraged the Social Workers who are doing selfless service by devoting time & money for the welfare of the patients in the P.G.I. Mrs.Harbans Kaur Oberoi, Honorary Secretary of Punjab State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section and her team of dedicated Lady Social Workers distributed the fruits in other wards and wished the patients Happy Diwali and speedy recovery
