Chandigarh 18th September:-- Centre for Sikh Studies and Hindi Department of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College organized a special lecturer on the theme "Universal Consciousness of Sri Guru Granth Sahib". The lecture was organized to commemorate the 'Guru Gaddi Divas' of Second Sikh Guru Angad Dev Ji. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Former Dean Languages. Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Col (Retd.) Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary, Sikh Educational Society delivered the welcome address. S. Gurdev Singh, President, SES presided over the occasion.
While Dr. Harmohinder Singh Bedi highlighted that Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the enlightener of all humanity. He called upon everyone to learn from its teachings. He further stated that Sri Guru Granth Sahib has the potential to lead the whole world and its teachings have the potential to solve the most of the present day problems of the world.
Whereas Principal of the College Prof. H.S. Sohi and Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Incharge, Centre for Sikh Studies thanked the audience. The stage was befittingly compared by Dr. Kamaljit Kaur from Department of Hindi. On this occasion, many students who participated in competition on Hindi Divas were awarded prizes. Teachers and students of the College participated in full strength
