Physiotherapy Department PGI is Celebrating World Physiotherapy Day on 7th September

Chandigarh, 06^th September: --- The Department of Physiotherapy PGI is celebrating World Physiotherapy Day on 7th September  PGI. The programme will be inaugurated by Dr. Rajeev Vadehra, Director General Health Service, UT,Chandigarh.

According to Spokesperson of the PGI  Prof. M S Dhillon, HOD, PRM and Physiotherapy, Dr Dheeraj Khurana, Addl Prof Neurology, Dr Bikash Medhi, JMS, New OPD, PGI, DR. MIthilesh Kumar, Sr. Lecturer, Punjabi University, Patiala will present valuable talk on Recent Trends in Stroke Management. Prof Paramveer Singh, Head, Sports Science Department, Punjabi University Patiala; and Dignitaries from different physiotherapy college like Saket college, panchkulla, MM University, Mullana, Haryana, Goernment Hospital, Sector-16, Government Hospital, Sector-32, will also be present in this occasion. Welcome speech will be delivered by Prof. M.S.Dhillon, Chairperson of the seminar.  Organizing Secretary Pradip Kumar Sarkar, Sr. Physiotherapist will deliver Vote of thanks. On 8thSeptember which is the foundation day of "World Confederation for Physical Therapists , an awareness programme will be organized about the problems in the knee joint and its practical management among the morning walker in Sukhna Lake at 6.30 am.  Prof. A. K. Gupta, MS (PGI) will inaugurate the Programme. Rajpal Singh, ex Captain, Indian National Hockey Team, and Dinesh Mongia, Cricketer, Indian National team will attend as guest of honor
