Mohali 21st August:--- On the pious occasion of Raksha Bandhan Shemrock Sen. Sec. School, Mohali organized Rakhi making competition .Wonderful and colorful rakhis were made by students. Tiny tots were given beads, satin ribbons, sequins, motifs, laces and silk threads to make Rakhis. The celebration was also graced by the efforts and enthusiasm of the junior section of the school that show cased the colourful and beautifully decorated Rakhis that they formed with the help of their mother-teacher. The tiny tots whole heartedly participated in the 'Rakhi Making' and left the school staff and others spell-bound. The students tried their best to make beautiful, colourful rakhis. Some of the rakhis were simply stunning. The students had used different kinds of materials to create different- looking rakhis.
The Principal S.K.Sharma lauded the efforts of the students for making such spectacular rakhis. and said that love and affection is the bond between brother and sister and such holy festivals strengthen the bond between them.
