Quest Group of Institutions organise 8th Edition of Indian Robot Olympiad :30 Schools from North India participated .

Mohali 13th August: -- Quest Group of Institutions organized Indian Robot Olympiad (IRO)2013,where a Weekend was full of excitement and enthusiasm . 30 teams of young students from the prominent schools of North India participated. IRO is India's largest robotic competition for students between 9 to 20 years in three age-based categories. India Stem Foundation organized the 8th edition of Indian Robot Olympiad (IRO) in association with Lego at Quest Institutions.

This year 'World Heritage 'is the theme of IRO. Participating teams created, designed and built Robots using LEGO Mindstorms NXT to solve pre-defined missions. Sudhanshu Sharma, MD- Techtronics Education (India) Limited said, that the IRO theme this year is very challenging; IRO is a perfect platform for students to launch themselves in World Robot Olympiad. He further added that the winner will participated in IRO finals, which will take place on 14th and 15th September at New Delhi and the winners of the final will represent India in World Robot Olympiad 2013 to be held in November in Jakarta.

 Harinder Kanda, Vice Chairman while speaking at the moment said that this competition is being organized at Quest to inspire students to be Science and Technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor based programs that will not only enhance their skills in science, engineering and technology but also inspire innovation.In the alimentary group, Robo Galaxy School, Jaipur got first position where as APJ School Jalandhar was second. In Second High Group, Robo Galaxy School Jaipur was First and Young Scholar School Barnala was second and in third high Group Saupin School Chandigarh got first position and IT Withkidz was second in the competition.
