Chandigarh 11th August:-- Pawan Kumar Bansal, Member of Parliament today inaugurated a newly developed Central Park in Aman & Chaman Colony, Dhanas, here today in presence of Subhash Chawla, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. Other councilors and officers, office bearers of Senior Citizen Association & Welfare association of the area and prominent citizens from Dhanas were present on the occasion.
Pawan Kumar Bansal said that it is the same responsibility of the area residents and MC to maintain the beautiful park and fountain. While addressing the gathering Mayor said that Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh is providing the facility of Green Belts in city beautiful regularly. He said that the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has dedicated all the function of MC for saving the Girl child and he appreciated the project as it was first park in that area alongwith fountain for the area residents. He informed about the main features of the Green park having total area .09 acre. He said that children play equipment, walking track, benches, hut, plantation of ornamental trees, grassing and boundary wall etc. will be provided in the Green belt at a cost of Rs. 33 lacs. Special Dolphin fountain and Victoria Huts were provided in the park
