Chandigarh 07th August:-- Kalyan Jewellers is all set to open its 1st showroom in Mohali, Punjab and 51st showroom in India. The showroom will be inaugurated on 25th August 2013. This will be followed by two more showrooms in Amritsar and Ludhiana. Star of the Millenium Mr.Amitabh Bachchan, the Brand Ambassador of the Kalyan Jewellers hopefully going to be Inagurate the Mohali outlet. Speaking on the occasion T.S. Kalyanaraman, Chairman, Kalyan Jewellers said that Kalyan Jewellers has retail store strength of 51showrooms across the 4 southern states, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The company has earmarked an investment of Rs. 1300 crores for FY 2013-14. He added that they recognize the vibrancy and the Punjabi's love for good things in life. Our first store in Mohali and other two to follow will cater to this distinct taste of the people of the great state. We are on track with our plans to be a national player and Punjab is a major milestone in that journey. The company is the single largest self owned jewellery retail chain in the country in terms of number of showroom, and turn over with the single maximum bullion purchase from SBI in jewellery retail crossing 5 tons. The company has ambitious plans to open 80 more showrooms in the next three years. These are being planned in almost all Tier 1 & 2 cites, Middle East, GCC (Corporation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf) Countries, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The projected turnover for 2013 – 2014 is Rs. 13,000 crores. T.S. Kalyanaraman said that Kalyan has been at the forefront of pioneering efforts to educate the public of cheating and malpractices in gold quality and pricing through their campaign 'Fight against Impure Gold.
