Chandigarh, 08 July:-- Municipal Corporation Chandigarh Mayor Subhash Chawla, , visited Govind Go-Dham Gaushala, village Chandpur Rurki, Balachaur and village Binewal, Garshankar. Mayor, inspected the Gaushala in terms of record keeping, infrastructure facilities and suitability of shifting the cattle from Chandigarh.
During the visit Mayor met Swami Krishna Nand ji, Bhuri wale in village Chandpur Rurki. Swami ji welcomed proposal of shifting of cows from Chandigarh to Gaushala
at Chandpur Rurki and village Binewal. The Gaushalas in Chandpur Rurki and Binewal are designated Gaushalas under the management of Registered Society. The Gaushala was found to be very well maintained and organized in terms of feed, segregation of cattle (category wise), space availablability, covered sheds, proper
storage facility of feed and water, feeding facilities, water availability, veterinary services, manpower to run the Gaushala and general cleanliness.
