- Taaleem signs agreements to set up Intellectual Property Rights & Media centres
Chandigarh 06th June,2013:-A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed Today between Mohali based Taaleem College of International Studies (TCIS),and Talwar & Talwar Consultants (ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2008 certified) - a leading provider of high quality Intellectual Property and Innovation support services, an IPR & Business Incubation Centre will be established.
While speaking to the Media Mr.Jaiparkash S.Hasrajani Co Founder & CEO said that The centre is TCIS's own initiative. The main focus of the centre would be not only to take up projects & proposals internally from students but also externally from aspirants, entrepreneurship enthusiasts and people who wish to set up their Enterprises in addition to supporting filing of patents and providing consultancy in these areas.He further said that the idea is to support and boost all facets of entrepreneurship by reaching out to the society at large. Prospects can approach the centre and they will be hand held by experts, given advisory services, trained, guided and supported in all related matters."
Mr. Jitin Talwar of TT Consultants says, "Our endeavor will be to bring in proprietary technology, cloud based IPR systems and knowhow for smooth functioning of this first of its kind centre. TT Consultants will provide support in the innovation process, stimulate context-based innovation and use its technology to harness Innovative ideas. TT Consultants will also provide initial training to ensure best of the class processes in the IPR Centre."
Today TCIS also signed an agreement with Business India, which is India's first and most credible business magazine, to set up a Media Centre at its campus in Mohali. Mr. Santosh Goenka, ED, Business India Group, said, "Students in the Media Centre will contribute to research in new areas along with interviews and interaction with industry. The Media Centre at TCIS will aim at launching new magazines targeted at SME and other areas. ".
Ms. Gursimran Kaur, COO Taaleem India says: "The upcoming centres at TCIS are a way for the institute to give back to the industry and society as a whole. Purely with focus on knowledge creation, dissemination and implementation the centres' would be a hub for new ideas generation. Mentoring and expert support will be provided to those who wish to work in this direction".
Any Commercial returns that accrue from the newly established centers of IPR and Media will be ploughed back to the development of the centers. Entrepreneurs who wish to enter the business incubation program would need to apply for admission to TCIS. Those with feasible business ideas and workable business plans would be admitted.
