Polling for Panchayat Elections in Punjab be held on July 3: S.S. Brar-- Nomination process to start on 19th June : Counting on July 3

Chandigarh, June 13th: The State Election Commission, Punjab has announced the Panchayat Elections scheduled and fixed July 3, 2013 as the date of polling. Announcing the schedule of the Panchayat Election S.S. Brar, State Election Commissioner, and Punjab said that Polling would be held on July 3, 2013. He said that the nomination process would take place on the 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of June, 2013. The scrutiny of the candidates would take place on 24th of June, 2013. He further said that the candidates could withdraw their nominations on the 25th of June. The polling and counting of voting in over 19000 booths would be held on 3rd of July, 2013. 

Brar said that all necessary arrangements had already been made in this regard. The code of conduct would come into effect from the 19th of June till the 4th of July
