No FIR since one month past attack in Press Club:A big political force behind the scene alleges Dr.Ranu.

Chandigarh 28th June:--Attack on President of Sehajdhari Sikh Party Dr.P.S.Ranu in the Chandigarh Press Club has some political shadows behind the scene as Dr. Ranu alleged that no FIR has been registered since last one month and the police had made a lame excuse stating that the medical injury reports are yet awaited. Delay on the part of the hospital authorities raised serious questions when Dr.Ranu said that he was lifted by the PCR team from the Press Club Chandigarh and admitted in Govt. Medical College & Hospital Sector 32 on 1 June at 12.30 noon where he was examined for injuries and admitted in emergency under observation for 24 hours and his examination of the eye was done at midnight 1.30amwhere he had been declared with corneal injury and black eye. His X-rays of fractured shoulder and nasal bone were done on 1 june night. He claims to have all the receipts of the amounts deposited in the hospital for all the investigations but astonishingly his discharge summary card showed the date of admission as 2 june instead of 1 june. He was operated for implants in the shoulder joint in the hospital due to fracture which is a grievous injury but the MLR showed simple injury. On 4 june even his wife gave a representation to the Director for re-examination of her husband by a board of doctors as the injuries were grievous but no action was taken on that instead the said letter was not present in the records of the hospital whereas Dr.Ranu claims to have the copy of the receiving with stamp and date.

Dr.Ranu said he was discharged from the hospital on 11 june and till 18 june he was on rest but no action was taken by the police against the accused. On 18 june the Police made a lame excuse stating that the injury summary report is yet awaited from the hospital for registering an FIR in the matter, so he again made a representation to the director to check the delay. On 21 june he was re-examined by a board of doctors of the forensic department to declare the nature of injuries. Even after this  huge exercise no action was taken by the police whereas according to the latest directions of the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Home Affairs the FIR is the right of the party and even in this case the police could have registered suo motto FIR as the unruly incident of attack on Dr.Ranu and a victim innocent lady before the media was telecasted on almost every TV channel.

The victim girl who was thrashed by her husband and in-laws before the media made numerous complaints and met the senior Police officials like Acting SSP (UT) Mr. Manish Chaudhary IPS  who sent her to SP Ghuman for redressal  of grievances but no action was taken and she was compelled to write to the National Women Commission against the Chandigarh Police.

Dr.Ranu has written to the Governor of Punjab cum Administrator of UT by presenting the News videos of TV channels in this regard against the police and hospital authorities. He said a special team of his party senior leaders is also investigating the matter and involvement of political hands behind the scene.
