Chandigarh Jan. 23, 2021:- Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, President, Kumari Selja said that the BJP-JJP government of the state has lost the trust of the people. This government has failed on every front. This is the reason that the ministers of the government are facing public opposition and finding it difficult to attend events organized on Republic Day. The government is scared. Today, the ministers of the government are not daring to go before the people. She added that the entire nation celebrates Republic Day with joy. The farmers want to celebrate the Republic Day by taking out the tractor march, it is the right of the farmers and we hope that the government will cooperate in this.
Kumari Selja was interacting with media persons at Hisar & Bhiwani. She arrived at Camp Chowk in Hisar to offer tributes to Subhash Chandra Bose on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Later, she reached Ramayan Toll Plaza of Hisar and Kitlana toll plaza of Bhiwani to support the farmers agitating against the anti-agriculture black laws.
She said that at the time of independence, we fought against external powers and today, farmers have waged a new movement. The BJP government has got this movement started. The farmers and laborers are forced to sit on the streets in this fierce cold for their rights. The BJP government does not want to repeal anti-agriculture black laws because it benefits few capitalist friends of the government. The BJP government does not see anything ahead of the interests of the capitalists. She said that it is very sad that the farmers of the country have to fight for their interests by taking to the streets. In this struggle of the farmers, the Congress party has stood firmly with them.
Kumari Selja said that this struggle against the anti-agriculture black laws is not just the struggle of the farmers, but this is the struggle of entire India because the entire economy is dependent on the agricultural sector. If the farmers and laborers will be ruined, some of the capitalists will not able to support the country. Only the farmers and laborers of the country can support, but the BJP government has forgotten this fact in their arrogance.
Kumari Selja said that the government was only pretending in the name of negotiation. The intention of the BJP government has not been clear since the beginning. More than 70 farmers have sacrificed themselves in this severe cold, but it had no effect on the government. This sacrifice of farmers will not go in vain. The government will have to accept the demands of the farmers.
