By 121 News

Chandigarh 16th January:- Intense cold weather condition, accompanied by rain failed to deter an ongoing aggressive poll campaign of Balbir Sidhu, the Congress candidate from Mohali as he held several meetings with villagers in different area today.

It may be mentioned here that Balbir Sidhu has launched a 'reach every villager' campaign under his efforts to carry out Congress polices to each and everyone besides exposing SAD-BJP government failures on all fronts.

During his meetings at Tadauli village  , Sidhu lashed out on SAD-BJP government for its anti-farmers' policies. During Badal regime the farmers had to face great hardships in selling their produce in markets and getting timely payments. No permanent solution was found for farmers' loans problem. As a result farmers were left with no other option than to committee suicide. Despite all these, state government remained in slumber and continued its lethargic attitude towards farmers. Balbir Sidhu maintained that but now the end of all this mess is going to be happened as Congress party has decided to write-off the farmers' loans after the formation of its government in Punjab.

Moreover Punjab people are fully aware that during his government, Capt Amarinder Singh had never allowed anyone to cause any trouble to the farmers in mandis besides ensuring timely payments for their produce.

Balbir Sidhu asserted that Capt Amarinder Singh is a man of his word and whatever he commits he fulfills. All promises with farmers will be completed.

Balbir Sidhu said that after coming to power we will ensure timely lifting of produce along with timely payments. We will not allow auction of farmers' land at any cost. One member from each family will get a job. While ensuring round the clock power for farmers, the power tariffs will also be reduced down from the neighboring states.
