Closing Ceremony Held for 62nd National School Games Baseball

Chandigarh 15th November:-The 62nd National School Games Baseball that commenced 11th November 2016, witnessed a closing ceremony on its concluding day today, The 5 day meet was declared closed by the Chief Guest, Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Director School Education, Chandigarh Administration.

The National School Games organized by the Education Department under the patronage of Sarvjit Singh Finance cum Education Secretary, was held in the discipline of Baseball under-19 boys and Girls.  Players and officials of 14 States and U.T's have participated in this prestigious championship.

The five day meet held under the aegis of the School Games of Federation of India and H. Sangura was present as Observer of SGFI. A brief report was read out by Rubinderjit Singh Brar, Chairman Organizing Committee cum DSE Chandigarh Administration. 
All participants marched past as a goodwill gesture towards the host city. Overall trophies and prizes were given to the winners by the Chief Guest. Rubinderjit Singh Brar also congratulated the organizers and the key departments for their round the clock services to the teams. Anujit Kaur, Deputy DEO has given the vote of thanks.

The event concluded with a Rajasthani dance, presented by the students of GMSSS Sector-32, release of a farewell kite and the retreat ceremony of the SGFI Flag. The police band played the National Anthem at the end. Officers of Education Department were also present at the closing ceremony.
