Chandigarh 14th November:- Children's Day celebrated at the Holy Wonder Smart School with enthusiasm. The theme of the programme was rose. Celebrations began with a prayer conducted by teachers. The campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as the beautifully dressed-up children participated in various activities organised for them.
Later, students also visited Rose Gardan to tell them importance of Rose in the life of Chacha Nehru. The reason behind visiting garden was to inculcate the bonding between the nature and children during the early stages of life and to Increase the sense of responsibility of each child by managing his or her own garden besides this children were also taught to reduce water stagnation & reduce mosquito breeding. To motivate them different rose species were also shown.
While informing about importance of Children Day Director of the School Ashween Arora said that Children's Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary Jawaharlal Nehru, as large portion of his life was dedicated to the welfare of children across the nation.
