Chandigarh 08th November:- Oakridge International School celebrated Diwali with a sensational Diwali Gala. Instead of exploding the noisy crackers the students of the school decorated earthen wares and candles and colourful rangolies at the campus. The air was vibrating with the laughter of the children. The performances staged by students included dances, skating and gatka demonstration and role play. Various games like tail the donkey, penny pitch, ping pong toss, ring toss were also organised for the students .Later,students also shared their views on a clean and green diwali at the moment.
The Principal, Ms Ramanjit Ghuman, stated that these events help build the attributes of team spirit and the spirit of camaraderie among the children. She further motivate students to use earthen lamps rather than electric bulbs and Distribute useful things like clothes, books, eatables to less fortunate people than fire the crackers then this can be turn out to be brighter Diwali and more meaningful one. According to her such approach would give eternal pleasure and contentment. She further encouraged them to celebrate every festival with the same spirit and enthusiasm .
