Chandigarh 03rd June:- The 5 students of Bhatinda made city proud by by garnering state ranks in the Olympiad Awards which was held recently in Delhi. The award was organized by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). About forty-lac students from over 31500 schools in 1400 cities across India and 19 countries participated in the Olympiad exams in 2014-15.
The rank 1 awardee from Bhatinda to receive certificate along with the medal was Ayana Pushkar of class 5th from Silver Oaks School, Bathinda in International English Olympiad category . Two students got rank 2 along with the medal were, Divyansh Gupta of class 10th from Delhi Public School, , Bathnda in National Science Olympiad and Suryansh Kumar of class 5th from The Millennium School, Bathinda in International Mathematician Olympiad. SOF is the world's biggest organizer of Olympiad exams and have been conducting Olympiads since the past 18 years. SOF spends over Rs.10 crores annually towards awards, scholarships and felicitations of winners & participants.
Mahabir Singh, the Founder & Executive Director of SOF said that around 24000 students from 3500 schools have been awarded for achieving top state level ranks. In addition, close to 6,00,000 students have been awarded "Medals of Excellence" for achieving top rank in their respective schools. 1500 principals & teachers were also honored for their commitment to academics and single minded pursuit in improving the students' academic knowledge and successfully preparing them for competitive exams.
