Mohali 19th September:-- Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri to develop mental & technical skills of its students for facing technical interviews confidently organized Technical Quiz for achieving the target of "Placements before Degrees". The questions pertained to Computer Basics, Computer Programming, Computer Languages, Networking, Operating Systems and Debugging i.e. Most frequently asked questions during placement drives .As many as 32 teams each consisting of two students participated in the preliminary rounds of this competition. 16 teams were selected for semi-final & later, 5 teams participated in finale, where, the team of Arzoo Gupta & Aman Bhau bagged the trophy while Lalit with Yogesh and Harsharandeep with Navandeep were adjudged as the first & second runners-up respectively.
Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC while congratulating all the participants said that quiz is a novel way of preparing the students for their final placement interviews in a play way manner. Besides, such competitions broadened the view as well as confident level of the students. G.D. Bansal, Director General, CGC said that in addition to technical knowledge, presence of mind & self confidence are the most important factors for cracking an interview. Dr. Bansal added that a technical quiz is similar to a technical interview in which questions have to be answered on the spot.
